In May of 2020, an installation of large-capacity process equipment continued in the melamine workshop at the construction site of "Ammonia-urea-melamine" (AUM) complex of "Metafrax Chemicals" company.
Installation specialists of PO "UEM" JSC erected two melamine reactors - one weighing 74 tons, the second -17 tons. A 250-ton "Terex" truck crane lifted the equipment to the pump room structure.
A 67-ton receiver on the flooring the off-gas pump room, an evaporator assembly with a column weighing 13 tons and a number of other complex process devices were also installed in May.
In the ammonia workshop, the builders started laying corrugated stainless steel blocks on the lower shelf of the CO2 absorber at the unit for carbon dioxide recovery from flue gases. The installation specialists will have to lift and load 49 tons of "Baretti" type packings into the absorber, placing 54 layers on all three shelves. Moreover, the specialists need to install the final section of the pipeline at the outlet from the flue gas fan of the pumping station to the collector on the PR-107 pipe rack.
