Business and IT dialogue is a growth point for the holding
On November 24, an internal IT meeting “I TALK IT” was held in Perm. This is a new platform for open dialogue between IT specialists and functional leaders of Metafrax Group responsible for production, finance, logistics and sales.
Representatives of the companies such as Metafrax Chemicals, Metafrax-Inform, Metadynea, Metafrax Trading and Karbolit, as well as invited experts, took part in the discussion. Ivan Feoktistov, First Deputy General Director of Metafrax Chemicals JSC noted in his speech that a structured dialogue and adequate management of the expectations of the two parties - business and IT - are a prerequisite for successfully solving the problem of developing the holding’s IT landscape, ensuring its integrity and convenience for users.
Evgeniy Gavrilov, Director for Strategy and Investments of Metafrax Chemicals JSC said that only active interaction of all participants in the process would allow the group of companies to meet the realities of the global trend towards automation and digitalization of business processes.
Stanislav Noskov, Managing Director of Metafrax-Inform LLC outlined the questions that need to be answered jointly at this stage: “What data is required? What kind of data unification can be introduced? How advanced should be analytics of data? Svetlana Salvitskaya, Operations Director of Metafrax-Inform emphasized the importance of creating a common vision for the future of the target IT infrastructure of Metafrax Group.
An important component of the event was the exchange of experience with invited guests - representatives of industrial companies Sibur-Khimprom, Perm Research and Production Instrument-Making Company, UEC-STAR JSC and Novomet. Professionals from the Perm IT community told how the established dialogue within enterprises has become a point of growth for both production and IT. Each company has developed its own format for interaction between business and IT, which allows them successfully solve production targets through end-to-end digitalization of the processes.
Summing up the results of the meeting, the participants noted that the current moment requires partnership between different functions, the creation of new mechanisms for making collegial decisions, as well as common terminology, common approaches to data and project management. The participants emphasized the productivity and value of the IT meeting, expressed gratitude to Stanislav Noskov and Natalia Shakhova, the discussion moderator, and reported their readiness for further meetings.
