Diving into beauty

Perm Art Gallery opened a children interactive exhibition “Inside the picture”. It introduces visitors to paintings in a language that is as close to children as possible and emotionally rich. Visitors can not only look at exhibits, but also touch and even smell them. For this purpose, there are tactile labels in halls with pieces of painted canvas or with the smell of an old painting. The project is implemented with the support of Seyfeddin Rustamov, majority shareholder of Metafrax.

“The exhibition is an occasion to think about many phenomena and talk to parents. It promotes new questions and interests. All of this works for the self-identification of a child in the modern world”, says Armen Garslyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Metafrax.

The exhibition became a continuation of another joint project of Perm Art Gallery and Metafrax: Chemistry of Art. The project was implemented in 2019. Its goal was to tell young viewers about the impossibility of art existence without science by the example of painting techniques, knowledge and mastery of which is mandatory for every artist.
