The Metafrax team became the bronze medalist of the final round in the Lean Technologies 2024 championship.
The final of the Lean Technologies 2024 championship was held on November 29 at the Perm Engineering and Industrial Forum. During the competition in the format of game cases, the expert jury identified teams that showed a high level of knowledge in the field of lean production, skills for implementing improvements in business processes and teamwork.
The game was attended by 8 teams from enterprises of the Perm Territory, who won the qualifying rounds. Metafrax was presented by supervisors Vyacheslav Budin, Ivan Frolov, Yulia Babina, Natalia Kharisova and the team captain Anton Veshnyakov.
The teams competed in four rounds. The championship started with the showpiece "Let's Get Acquainted", where it was necessary to introduce oneself in a creative way within a minute. When completing the task "8 Colors of Delegation", it was necessary to correctly determine the motivational level of the employee and issue the task considering the rules for delegating tasks. In the captains' competition, "In Other Words," captains explained lean manufacturing terms to their teams, which they had to guess. In the game “Custom Tower”, each team received a project: to build a tower from blocks at the client’s request. The order included such parameters as the height of the tower, the number of floors, requirements for stability and decorative elements. At the end, the participants were waiting for the competition "Effective Mentor", where the manager had to organize the workflow, instruct employees and record the production time.
The first place was taken by the team of the Tchaikovsky mechanical plant, the second were the employees of JSC Medisorb, the bronze medalist became the team of JSC Metafrax Chemicals.

According to the experience, the knowledge gained is successfully used by supervisors in their daily work."

The organizers of the Lean Technologies 2024 championship were the Perm Chamber of Commerce and Industry, International Company Innovative Business Systems LLC and the Regional Competence Center of the Regional Engineering Foundation with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Perm Territory.
The objectives of the championship were the popularization of the national project "Labor Productivity", business support towards the introduction of lean production principles at enterprises in the Perm Territory, expert assessment of teamwork and competencies of employees responsible for the introduction of lean production principles, the creation of a professional community of like-minded people interested in improving production processes based on the use of lean production tools.
