Reliable company shield

Metafrax Chemicals Gas Rescue Service celebrated its 70th anniversary.
On March 21, a gala evening on the occasion of the unit's anniversary gathered veterans, current employees, and the company's management at the Gubakha Palace of Culture "Energetik" to remember the founders of the service, celebrate achievements, and congratulate the team on the anniversary.
The Metafrax gas rescue service is the same age as the company. Evidence of this is the order of Gubakha Chemical Plant No. 93 dated February 28, 1955 on the appointment of Fyodor Yefimovich Solovyov as head of the gas rescue station. The history of the service dates back to this day.
A lot has changed over the past 70 years, but the main task has remained unchanged – to be constantly ready to guard the life and health of the company's employees. Today, the gas rescue team consists of 35 people. These are four operational departments, as well as prevention specialists, mechanics, deputies and a squad leader. The company's rescuers have modern emergency rescue equipment, outfit and technical devices for timely performance of tasks and functions for the prevention and elimination of accidents and emergencies.
The staff of the service are systematically trained, and the squad is certified for the right to conduct rescue and other urgent work in emergency situations. Gas rescuers regularly practice their knowledge and practical skills at the equipped training area. The existing heat and smoke chamber, a training complex and a training railway tank allow for training to rescue victims from tanks and eliminate leaks of aggressive liquids using specialized equipment.
Recently, the gas rescue squad celebrated a housewarming party in a new building.
- I started my career in the chemical industry as a gas rescuer. And today I am very pleased to congratulate my colleagues on such a significant anniversary date – the 70th anniversary of the Metafrax Chemicals gas rescue service," Sergey Shish, Director for HSE, Industrial and Fire Safety, addressed the anniversaries. "For many years, the team of gas rescuers has been a reliable shield of our company, ensuring safety in production and protecting the lives of our employees. You are the first to rush to rescue people and eliminate emergencies. Your work requires a high level of training, courage and responsibility, and each of you, while serving, copes with this task with honor. I would like to thank the veterans and all the employees of the gas rescue squad for your dedication to the profession, for your ability to work in a team and support each other. I wish the team success, valor, courage and bravery in such a dangerous, but necessary and useful job.
Sergey Nikolaevich presented Vladimir Sundukov, the commander of the gas rescue squad, with a commemorative anniversary address.
Alexander Yeske, Deputy Technical Director for Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Activities, joined the congratulations. He emphasized the contribution of veterans to the development of the unit and expressed gratitude to the current staff for their dedication and professionalism.
The applause did not subside on this solemn evening, the gas rescuers greeted their colleagues who came on stage to receive awards. Department commanders Radik Davletov, Alexander Titov, Alexander Podmodanov, gas rescuer Yuri Matyukhin, and gas rescue mechanic Sergey Yakovlev were honored in the Golden Fund nomination. Sergey Lugin, a gas rescuer, was awarded letters of thanks in the Mentor nomination, and Victoria Butorina, a prevention instructor, was awarded in the Irreplaceable Employee nomination.
Alexander Grom, chairman of the company's trade union organization, wished the anniversaries that all emergency situations remain only in classrooms and textbooks, and presented thanks and gifts to drivers Radik Khabirzyanov, Alexander Tormosin, gas rescuer Sergey Lugin, deputy squad commander Andrei Kukushkin and prevention instructor Oleg Karpov.
That evening, with special respect and awe, the gas rescuers congratulated their veterans, from whom they had adopted the experience and best traditions of the service. Among them are Viktor Mikhailovich Chistyakov, who led the detachment for ten years, and Albert Fassakhovich Halliulin, who worked in the company's gas rescue service for more than 40 years.
The festive anniversary evening of the gas rescuers was decorated with congratulations, funny contests and energy by presenter Natalia Chezganova, as well as creative performances by Gubakha artists Kirill Yesin, Ekaterina Matyukhova, Alexey Chetvertkov, and the dance group of the Abal Oriental studio.
