The Chemistry of Art

The Chemistry of Art

A musical evening titled "Summer episode for two sopranos and piano" was held in Gubakha at children's music school named after Yu. Agafonov. The concert was held as part of the educational program of the Diaghilev Festival, which is partnered with Metafrax Chemicals and Ruschem.

The event brought together talented graduates of the educational program and lovers of classical music. The residents of Gubakha were presented with the skills of Ksenia Nashatyreva, a student of the St. Petersburg University named after Herzen (class of Oksana Shilova, prima of the Mariinsky Theater) and winner of the All-Russian Competition named after M.P. Mussorgsky, Valeria Ryzhova, a student of the Moscow Academy of Choral Art named after Popov and a guest soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre, and Laura Betrozova, a student at the piano class of Moscow State Conservatory named after P.I. Tchaikovsky and a participant of the musicAeterna project - a workshop named after Rubinstein for concertmasters. The concert was hosted by Ksenia Yasnyuk - a music expert and composer.

The fusion of the delightful soprano voices and pianist's expressive performance created the chemistry of art on stage, and an atmosphere of magic and sophistication in the auditorium. The concert program included duets and solo performances of arias, songs, and romances by Russian and foreign composers such as W. Mozart, S. Rachmaninoff, N. Rimsky-Korsakov, G. Mahler, G. Wolf, G. Fauré, C. Debussy, J. Massenet, and G. Donizetti. Each performance ended with a loud applause from the audience. After the concert, the performers held workshops for students and teachers of the music school.

The Diaghilev Festival does not entail only vibrant premieres and concert programs, but it is also a unique environment for the professional growth of young musicians. For 9 years, the festival's educational program has provided performers, composers, and researchers with access to the global context of modern culture.

- The awareness mission of the Diaghilev Festival and its educational program are particularly significant for the industry and young musicians who come to Perm to study with real mentors and recognised masters, - noted Maria Konovalova, Director of Strategic Communications at Metafrax Chemicals JSC, - As part of the Women in Art project, festival participants travel around the region and hold concerts and workshops with teachers and students of music schools. Such communication is genuinely invaluable.

With the support of Metafrax Chemicals, graduates of the educational program of the Diaghilev Festival have also performed in Cherdyn and Ochera.
