Metadynea presented tactile books for visually impaired children.
As part of the "Books as a Gift" program, Metadynea donated specialized literature for the preschool department of school No. 12 in Orekhovo-Zuyevo, where children with visual impairments study.
The books were created by the Alexander Degen “Illustrated Books for Young Children" Charitable Foundation with a charitable donation from Metadynea. All sets of books are adapted for blind and visually impaired children. They use materials of various textures, moving parts, bright contrasting patterns, and special designs that stimulate the development of residual vision and tactile perception.
The school's specialists expressed special gratitude for the unique "Magic Pencil" manual, which has no analogues. This publication is actively used by educational psychologists, typhlopedagogues and speech therapists. The manual helps to form compensatory mechanisms and reveals the developing potential of a child, even with serious visual impairments. Tactile books not only develop, but also inspire — they enable children to believe in themselves, to be curious and active, despite the limitations of health.
In a letter of thanks, the director of School No. 12, Svetlana Krasnova, noted:
"Many thanks to the sponsors! All the books received from the Foundation have been reviewed and re-listened to many times and never cease to amaze and delight children's hearts!"
Access to specialized literature is not only a contribution to development, but also an important step towards an inclusive and just society where every child can learn, discover the world and enjoy childhood.
