The vector of cooperation
Metafrax Chemicals and the Ural Chemical Technology College (UСTС) summed up the results of their joint work in 2024, and also discussed plans for further cooperation. The meeting of representatives of the company and the educational institution took place at the end of February in the assembly hall of the UСTС.
The event was attended by Albert Khudaibirdin, Managing Director for Production at JSC Metafrax Chemicals, Konstantin Anufriev, Director of Organizational and HR Policy at the company, Andrei Yeremeyev, Technical Director of the company, Alexey Nazarov, Director of UCTC, as well as other managers and specialists from Metafrax and the college.
Elena Bolotova, Head of the Human Resources Department at JSC Metafrax Chemicals, made a presentation. She noted that in 2024, the implementation of the federal project "Professionalitet" continued, within the framework of which the industrial and educational cluster of the Chemical Industry of the Perm Region operates on the basis of UCTC. Last year, the company's specialists carried out preparations for the modernization of the stands, and at the request of the college, the necessary supplies were transferred to the workshops.
One of the key areas of cooperation is the educational networking project "Chemical Technology Class". Four technology classes operate on the basis of Gubakha schools No. 14 and No. 15, where about 100 students undergo specialized training, including in UCTC laboratories, participate in competitive events, and receive scholarships from the company. The project demonstrates high efficiency: in 2024, half of ninth grade graduates chose UCTC to continue their education.
Metafrax continues to support the program of additional professional education in the specialty "Chemical technology of inorganic substances" for students of 3-4 courses. This program is implemented by the college in cooperation with Perm National Research Polytechnic University (PNRPU). In 2024, 22 students will graduate from the additional professional education program, and 22 more will continue their studies.
An important aspect of the interaction is the participation of the staff of Metafrax Chemicals in the educational process. Thirteen specialists of the company work as part-time teachers, and also act as experts and mentors in various professional competitions and certification events, including in the regional stages of the Professionals championship. In 2024, the company organized a regional professional skills competition "The Best by profession" on the basis of UCTC.
To date, UCTC has 708 students studying in seven fields. In recent years, the admission control figures have grown significantly and amount to 190 people. The effectiveness of the partnership is also confirmed by the fact that the company currently employs 1 233 UCTC graduates. Another success of last year was the recognition of UCTC as the winner of the third regional competition "Leader of the Perm Region" in the Education category.
Further expansion of cooperation is planned in 2025.Metafrax will allocate 2.5 million rubles for the logistical support of the college within the framework of the Professionallitet project. It provides for the conclusion of targeted contracts with third-year UCTC students in the specialties of training for the company, holding corporate competitions, strengthening ties between the youth organization of the enterprise and the student council of the college. It is planned to implement vocational training, learning and advanced training programs for employees of Metafrax Chemicals on the basis of UCTC. The college's long–term plans include the construction of a new student dormitory with 200 beds.
